Farmers are happy with the good yield of cantaloupes on the China-Myanmar border

With the arrival of spring, the warm sunshine is shining. On the China-Myanmar border, in Phon Fain Township, Mansi, over 2,000 acres of Chinese cantaloupes have ripened and are starting to reach the market.
As you walk into the greenhouse, you’ll find bulging cantaloupes hanging from the vines, wafting in the sweet aroma. Farmers are busy shuttling around in the greenhouse.
This year, my family planted more than 10 Chinese acres of sweet melons. One Chinese acre has a yield of 1.5 tons. 600 kg can be picked every day. Since the current buying price is good, the income will be more than 50,000 yuan, said grower Shouk Al Tanun.
The place where you can buy cucumbers in Shanyu Village is very busy. According to Shou Aitel, who is in charge, the purchase of cantaloupe started on February 13. It is known that the average daily purchase amount is more than 10 tons and more than 20 people are employed daily.
I left early every day and returned home late at night to pack the melons. The average daily income is more than 100 yuan. Being close to home and earning money, I don’t have to go far to work anymore, said farmer Mi Aipaw Wan happily.
